Nominations Sought for Senior Hall of Fame
Celebrating What’s Good in Our Community & Celebrating Seniors
ALBUQUERQUE – You don’t have to be a senior to be inducted into Silver Horizons’ Senior Hall of Fame this year. Silver Horizons is looking to recognize volunteers making our community a better place to live.
Albuquerque’s only nonprofit dedicated solely to serving low-income seniors is calling for nominations for its 35th Hall of Fame awards, which are open to individuals of all ages.
Non-senior nominees must have made significant contributions toward improving the lives of seniors in Sandoval, Santa Fe, Valencia or Bernalillo Counties. Senior nominees must be at least 50 years old as of Sept. 30, 2017, demonstrate accomplishments or service that have greatly benefited the community, and be active in that service at the time of nomination.
The Silver Horizons Selection Committee will determine Hall of Fame inductees.
Four awards will be presented at the Senior Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony, scheduled for 6-9 p.m. November 15 at the Marriott Pyramid North, 5151 San Francisco Road NE.
More detailed information and nomination forms can be found on this page. See Downloadable Documents. Nominations are due not later than September 30.
Since the ceremony’s inception, 118 individuals and eight couples have been inducted into the Senior Hall of Fame. A display of award recipients can be seen at the Albuquerque Convention Center beginning November 2017.
