Utility Assistance

Each year, Silver Horizons helps more than 120 senior households with Utility Assistance.

For more than 35 years, Silver Horizons has helped the community’s lowest-income seniors meet their basic needs and maintain a quality standard of living. Silver Horizons supports low-income and at-risk seniors by providing programs and resources including Utility Assistance.

Our Utility Assistance program alleviates utility bill debt allowing income that would have been spent paying electric, gas, propane, or water bills to be used for other important household needs such as rent, food, transportation and medical-related expenses not covered by insurance.

Silver Horizons’ Utility Assistance program is an on-going service offered to those who can show proof of their due or past-due electric, gas, propane, or water bill. To qualify for our Utility Assistance program, the Silver Horizons team asks you provide us with the following information:

  • Current electric, gas, propane or water bill
  • Proof of household income
  • Identification for all adults living in the home
  • Identification for all children living in the home

Additionally, we ask that you please read our income guidelines for Utility Assistance.

It is our goal at Silver Horizons to ensure timely payment of the bill to avoid disconnection of any of these services. Providing us with the items listed above helps us process the bill payment quickly and efficiently.
